3、pply,manufactureandtestofvalves.2.0SCOPEThisinstructioncoversallnecessarystagesintheproductionofavalvefromtheexaminationOfcertificationfromprocurementsourcestothefinalinspection,preservationandpackingtodespatchtosite.ltisparticularlysuitablefortheinspe4、ctionofGatezGIobezBaIIandCheckvalves.Althought

4、hemethodologyincompilingthisinstructionistosystematicallyprogressthroughtheconstructionofatypicalvalve.ExperienceciJnspectorsmayinterprettheintentoftheinstructiontoaccommodatelocalornovelpracticesortoutilisetheinstruc5、tionforaone-off,oralternativedesignofvalve,thedesignhavingbeenapprovedbytheclient

5、.Anysuchvariationsshouldbenotedontheinspectorsreport.3.0PROCEDURE3.IGENERALThisinstructiontogetherwiththeassociatedchecksheetmaybeusedonanyorderorcontract.ltisintendedtoactasag6、uidetotheinspectorinthecourseoftheinspectionprogramme.Anypartofthedocumentmaybeinvokedandthesectionstobeusedandthelevelofi

6、nspectionrequiredwillbespecifiedonthechecklist.AIItestsandinspectionswillbecarriedoutagainsttheapproveddrawingszpurchaseOrderspecifi7、 cations,purchasersorcompanystandardszandwithinthepracticesandrulesofthecountrstateorprovinceandanygovernmentdecrees,laws,ordinanceorregulationasmayapply.lfanyconflic

7、torcontradictionsshouldbeapparentinanyoftheabovethenthemoreOnerousrequirementshallapplyunless8、thepurchaserorclientdirectsotherwiseinwriting.Therangeofvalvetypes,materials,sizesandpressureratingsincludedwithinstandardmanufacturerscataloguesislargeandinfinitelyvariedandexcludesthepossibilityofproduci
