INTRODUcnONWezatadidasGroupvaluemaintainingahighlevelofqualityinourproductsandonlybyensuringthatourprocessesareaccuratelycommunicated,ourmethodsdocumentedandourspecificationsdefined,thisgoalwillbemet.Itisourobjectivetoclearlycommunicateourexpectationsandparameterstooursupplybase.Wewill,onacontinuousbase,evaluateandadoptourprocessesinordertoimproveproductquality.Wevalueourrelationshipswithoursupplybaseandrealizethatbyworkingtogetherwecanaccomplishourmutualgoalofprovidingqualityproductsandservicestoourcustomers.Aswebetterdefineourexpectations,weseektoestablishforoursuppliersaworkingrelationshipwhereperformanceisrewardedandtrustisestablished.ItistheadidasGroupPolicytocommunicatecolorandspecifycolorstandardsusingthe31pointspectraldatameasurementsystemandtocontrolcolorusingtheCMC2:1colorequationtogetherwiththeguidelinesandprocedurescontainedherein.Theinstrumentalspectraldatameasurementprocessworksonnumericaldataandtolerances,resultinginmoreefficientandobjectivecolordecisionsascomparedtovisualassessmentalone.adidasGroupofficesareequippedwithhighqualityDatacolorSF600+CTandSF600XSpectrophotometersandDatacolorTools,Envision&Tracksoftwareforcolormeasurement,evaluation,trackingandcommunication.Allcolorstandardsandsupplierssubmitsaremeasuredandstoredelectronicallyandsupplierperformancereportsaregeneratedtoprovideavarietyofdataincludingqualityoffirstsubmissions；approvalpercentagesandturntimes.ThemaingoaloftheadidasGroupColorManualincludesignificantlydecreasingthenumbersofcolorsubmissionsreceivedfromthesupplybasepriortoapprovalandreducingthetimeandcostassociatedwiththecolorprocess.Tosupportthisgoalwerequiresupplieraccreditationtohelpensureongoingaccuracyandconsistencyofcolorsubmissions.II.
